1st Annual Wag the Dog 5k Run/Walk

DESCRIPTION: All proceeds from the event will benefit Kossuth Animal Rescue (K.A.R.).
START TIMES:
10:00 am – 5k Race (no dogs)
10:45 am – 5k or 1½ mile walk with or without dogs
REGISTRATION:
Race Day:
Race Packets may be picked up between
9:00 – 9:45 am for Race participants and
9:45-10:15 am for Fun walk participants with or without dogs
Fees:
$20.00 if registered prior to April 1st
$25.00 if registered after April 1st
Dogs:
All Canine participants must be current on their vaccinations. Proof of rabies vaccination is required. It is recommended that dogs also have kennel cough (Bordetella) and influenza vaccines.
COURSE & PARKING:
Parking will be available in the First Baptist Church parking lot and in the YMCA parking lot.
The course will begin by Tietz Park at the corner of East State Street and South Finn Drive and run 2 loops around the brand new bike/running trail. The dog jog can do 1 loop, approximately 1½ miles).
T-SHIRTS & AWARDS:
All Participants who register prior to April 1st will receive a long-sleeved t-shirt. Registrants after April 1st will receive a t-shirt on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last.
Additional shirts are available for those who don’t want to run, walk or “wag” at a cost of $15.00.
Award medals will be given to the top 3 finishers overall for men and women for the 5k race.
